No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter , softened butter , and vanilla extract .

Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat the mixture until smooth, creamy, and well combined.

Step 2: Shape into Balls

Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture at a time and roll it between your palms to form small, even balls.

Place the shaped balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.

Once all the balls are formed, place the tray in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to firm them up slightly before coating.

Step 3: Coat the Peanut Butter Balls

Option 1 - Powdered Sugar Coating:

Roll the chilled peanut butter balls in powdered sugar until evenly coated. This creates a sweet, snowy finish. Return the coated balls to the refrigerator to set completely.

Option 2 - Chocolate Coating:

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, melt them using a double boiler on the stovetop.

Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined tray.

Optional - Add Chopped Peanuts:

While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle the tops of the balls with finely chopped peanuts for added texture and flavor.

Step 4: Chill and Set

Place the coated peanut butter balls in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes , or until the chocolate or coating hardens completely.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

Once set, transfer the peanut butter balls to an airtight container.

Store them in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage. Let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving if frozen.

Share with friends and family—or keep them all to yourself!

Tips for Success

Peanut Butter Choice: Use natural peanut butter for a healthier option, but ensure it’s well-stirred to avoid oil separation.

Custom Coatings: Experiment with coatings like white chocolate, crushed pretzels, shredded coconut, or sprinkles for variety.

Make Ahead: These peanut butter balls can be made in advance and stored in the fridge or freezer, making them perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting.

Portion Control: For bite-sized treats, use a small cookie scoop to ensure uniform sizing.
